The invention relates to an assembly of chromatography columns connected in series, comprising two columns which each have two ends, and a filter made of a sintered material located at one of the ends of each column. According to the invention, a) the two columns 13 have equal lengths L and are arranged parallel and side by side; b) two adjacent ends of the columns are held in position by means of a holding unit 15 fitted with a connection face 18, with which the extreme segments of the columns are flush; and, c) a filter holder 19, fitted with a bearing face 19a, whose shape is complementary with that of the connection face 18 of the holding unit 15, is fixed removably 20; 29 to each holding unit, the connection and bearing faces bearing on each other, and the filter holder 19 having two through-holes 21, inside each of which a filter 23, made of a sintered material, is located.
