Improvement in the assembly of a clutch release bearing and a hydraulic thrust cylinder for actuating the latter. According to the invention a fixed outer tubular section 31 of the thrust cylinder 12 carries at least one projection 50b pointing towards the inside whilst a tubular section 38 forming part of the piston 37 of the thrust cylinder externally includes at least one corresponding longitudinal groove 52 closed in the vicinity of the chamber of the thrust cylinder, the said projection being engaged in the longitudinal groove. <IMAGE>
