PURPOSE:To use at maximum the merits of a large capacity and miniature by providing an optical information storage medium with an optical information storage part storing optical information and a control part controlling the optical information. CONSTITUTION:The optical disk 1 consists of the optical information storage part 3 and the control part 2. When a device circuit 5 is the peripheral equipment of the control part 2 and an interface bus 26b is used as an interface with the peripheral equipment, the processing program of a CPU 21 is stored in a ROM 22. When the disk 1 is inserted into a prescribed position, the program stored in the ROM 22 runs, and the circuit 5 and the control part 2 operate as the peripheral equipments and they mutually exchange data by using a RAM 23. As for a power source, it is desirable to fit an optical battery 7 and use it. Thus, the merits of a large capacity and miniature can be used at maximum.
