The device comprises an assembly formed from a rectilinear slide 6 with, from top to bottom, a receiving zone and an alignment zone which is divided into longitudinal alignment channels, and a bottomless container 17 divided into falling channels by longitudinal partitions and integral with the slide 6, at the front. A drive means 16 is provided in order to impart a longitudinal to-and-fro movement to the said assembly. The device further comprises a box-manipulator means 21, 22 for raising the bottom thereof close to the base of the container 17, and then for lowering it as it is filled. <IMAGE>
