PURPOSE:To facilitate the measurement of a shape by selecting virtual circles having >=80% overlap factors after comparing these virtual circles with each other. CONSTITUTION:The circles having radiuses R3, R4... corresponding to measurement start points 51, 56... are obtained and the overlap degrees of these circles are compared with each other for selection of circles having >=80% overlap factors. While the circles having <=80% overlap factors are deleted as noises for information on desired circles. Thus plural circles having >=80% overlap factors are selected and the contour point numbers forming each circle are compared with each other for decision of the precise measurement value of the circle whose characteristics are measured. Thus it is possible to analize the circular forms forming an aggregate of objects having comparatively accurate and many circular similar sections and to accurately grasp aggregating state analysis information on said aggregate.
