PURPOSE:To shorten a printing code processing time and enable a reduction in the total capacity of internal storage means, by sequentially arranging printing codes in the order of printing positions without waiting until a paper length amount of the printing codes are stored into a printing code storage part, and storing the arranged printing codes. CONSTITUTION:With a predetermined printing code inputted, printing position information 3 corresponding to the code is designated by a printing position controlling part 3, and is outputted to a storage position controlling circuit 55a. Based on the information 3, the controlling circuit 55a accesses a storage address designating circuit 55b, and outputs a corresponding storage address 3'. Based on the address 3', a data storage controlling part 51 stores the printing code information 2 into a storage part 54, sequentially in the order of printing position. This processing is performed each time a printing code is inputted. The printing codes sored into the storage part 54 are simultaneously taken into a bit map data writing circuit 61 sequentially in response to a starting signal 8 from a printing starting controlling part 10, are converted into corresponding printing data by a CG 62, the printing data are developed into a bit map data storage part 7, and are sequentially printed.
