The invention relates to a tool post for a turning tool of the type whose cutting edge 4 has the shape of a circular arc 5. In order to make it possible to renew a worn part 20, 21 of the cutting edge 4, the tool post 30 includes a turret 38 carrying the turning tool 1 and includes a sole plate 35.
