The invention relates to a brush-holder assembly for electric motors of the cylindrical commutator type, characterised in that it is composed of two flange plates made of insulating material carrying a central hole, one 1 of these flange plates, called a bearing flange plate, including in its mass: - radial housings 3 whose dimensions cooperate with those of the brushes fitted with their cable and with their spring to be inserted therein, - studs 5a, 5b and/or tabs for guiding the brush cables, - closure studs 5b or any other snap-fastening system, for example flexible tabs provided with a recess (shoulder), - passages intended for the electrical supply. The other flange plate has a geometrical shape cooperating with that of the first so as to form a cover for the latter, the assembly forming a cassette. The material constituting the flange plates is chosen from electrically insulating thermoplastics, such as polyesters or polyamides which may or may not be reinforced with additional fibres, for electrical and/or electronic components. <IMAGE>
