PURPOSE:To preclude a blocking phenomenon by providing a circulation roll nearby a nap cutting part and carrying powder toner which is cut by nap cutting and stays at the nap cutting part out of this nap cutting part. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a nap cutting plate 29 provided to the bottom part of a developing device 5 faces the outer periphery of a developing sleeve 27 across a fine gap 30 and is sucked to the outer periphery of the developing sleeve 27 to cut the nap of falling magnetic toner, thereby forming a magnetic toner layer on the surface of the developing sleeve which passes the position of the nap cutting plate 29 to specific thickness. This magnetic toner layer contacts the surface of a photosensitive drum 2 and develops a charge image on the surface of a photosensitive drum while moving in the same direction with the surface of the photosensitive drum. The magnetic toner which is cut by the nap cutting plate 29 and remains is accumulated on the top surface 29a of the tip part of the nap cutting part to be pressed. The circulation roll 24, however is positioned nearby this tip part and the magnetic toner on the nap cutting plate 29 is carried out by the counterclockwise rotation of the roll, so neither abnormal wear nor blocking phenomenon due to cohesion is caused. |
