NEW MATERIAL:A growth hormone 1003 for fishes. It has the following physical and chemical properties. Amino acid composition,m shown in the column 'fraction A' of the table; molecular weight, 22,000; isoelectric point, 6.3-6.5; soluble in water; amino terminal analysis, pyroglutamine; UV, absorption peak at 210nm. USE:Growth promoting agent for fishes, especially bonito, etc. PREPARATION:The objective hormone can be extracted from pituitary gland of bonito and separated and purified by successive gel-filtration and high- performance liquid chromatography. |
