PURPOSE:To obtain an agricultural and horticultural germicide, containing a blend of a triazole derivative with dithiocarbamate based germicidal ingredient as an active ingredient, capable of exhibiting high blight controlling effects with synergistic and high persistence in a small amount of chemical and effective also against resistant germs without phytotoxicity. CONSTITUTION:An agricultural and horticultural germicide containing a com pound expressed by formula (X and Y are H, halogen or lower haloalkyl; n and m are 1 or 2) and a dithiocarbamate based germicidal ingredient [e.g. manganese ethylenebisdithiocarbamate (formula II) or zinc ethylenebisdithio carbamate] at 1:10-25 weight ratio. The germicide is effective against powdery mildew, black spot and rust of vegetables, fruit trees and grains and cercospora leaf spot of beet in a small amount of chemical without exerting phytotoxicity to useful crops and also against plant blights caused by resistant germs. In application, foliar spraying is carried out before or after occurrence of blights. |
