PURPOSE:To enable a color image to be expressed by a pattern even in a black- and-white printer, by a method wherein, a pattern according to the color of inputted image data is selected, the inputted data is developed with the selected pattern, and the developed image data is printed. CONSTITUTION:Presence of image data is judged. If the image data is present, the image data for one bite is fetched from a data input part 1. Thereafter, the pattern data positionally corresponding to the control code is fetched from a pattern storage part 3. These two sets of data is AND-processed in a control part 2, and the obtained result is written in an image buffer 4. This operation is repeated in sequence until all the image data is fetched. In this manner, the image data is developed and all the data is written in the image buffer 4. After the completion of the writing, the information written in the image buffer 4 (the result of the AND processing of the image data and the pattern) is printed on a paper with a single color by an image data printing means. |
