This system is noteworthy in that it comprises vehicles A guided in their movement by a track arranged over the entire length of the journey, termed the main track V1, characterised by the presence on at least part of the journey of a second track V2, called the auxiliary track, as well as by the equipping of the vehicles with a device allowing the use thereof, and in that, in the double-track sections, the vehicles, moving simultaneously on the two tracks V1-V2, have an inclination which is not directly linked with the slope of the trajectory, but is a function of the relative position of the two tracks, and can therefore be adjusted, this being without employing any mechanism or interruption in the movement of the vehicles over the entire length of the journey. <IMAGE>
