PURPOSE:To prevent the repetition of interruption and distinguish fixed trouble and soft errors from each other, by preventing the machine check interruption until a prescribed time elapses after the machine check interruption due to the occurrence of an error. CONSTITUTION:If an error correction code processing circuit 6 detects an error when the read access of a buffer memory 2 is executed, data is corrected in an error correcting circuit 7 and is trnasferred to an access request source device side. Though the machine check interrupt is generated by a machine check interrupt generating part 10, a counter is reset at first to prevent the machine check interrupt generating part 10 from generating the machine check interrupt signal till the elapse of a prescribed time even if another error occurs. A fixed trouble is distinguished from soft troubles because the error occurs again after the prescribed time in case of the fixed trouble, and the machine check interrupt is prevented from being generated repeatedly. |
