PURPOSE:To manufacture a thermoplastic resin extruded plate which has favor able surface properties and is pervious to light, by a method wherein one of a plurality of extruding machines extrudes molten resin containing mica in a pulverized state, one of surface layers is formed, which is passed through between rolls giving a desired plate thickness, and the same is cooled without being pressurized between succeeding rolls. CONSTITUTION:One of extruding machines forms one of surface layers by extruding molten resin containing mica in a pulverized state. A beltlike body of molten resin thus formed is passed through between a pair of rolls for giving a desired thickness and cooled without being pressurized between succeeding rolls. Acrylic resin, polycarbonate resin and vinyl chloride resin are available as thermoplastic resin to be used. A compounding quantity of the mica is 1-20 pts. wt. to 100 pts. wt. thermoplastic resin, and a mat plate having arbitrary glossiness and surface properties can be obtained by controlling the compounding quantity of the mica. It is necessary that the mica, is in the pulverized state and a mean particle diameter measured through a gravity settling method is 3-100mu. |
