Improvements to guard-rails of the type comprising two longitudinal members 1 and 2 joined together by uprights 3 and by reinforcing posts 4, characterised in that the lower face of the longitudinal member 2 has a longitudinal groove 5 for receiving tenons 6 provided at the upper end of the uprights 3. The groove 5 in the upper longitudinal member emerges in a groove 10 in the shape of a flattened V. The upper ends of the uprights extending on either side of the tenons 6 are inclined outwards. The upper face of the lower longitudinal member 1 has a longitudinal tenon 7 onto which the lower ends of the uprights 3, which include a groove 8, are fitted. <IMAGE>
