PURPOSE:To easily form heat-resisting moire gratings on many test-pieces by arranging a coating plate which has many parallel slits on the test-pieces, projecting laser light and then moving the coating plate, and projecting laser light again. CONSTITUTION:Many parallel slits 22 arrayed at the same pitch with the heat- resisting moire gratings are provided in the surface of a mirror 21 which is the coating plate. Then the mirror 21 having the slits 22 is placed on the plane test-pieces and irradiated with the laser parallel light beam from above. Consequently, only laser light beams passed through the slit parts of the mirror 21 reach the surfaces of the test-pieces to form grooves conforming with the shape of the slits 22. Then the mirror 21 is rotated by, for example, 90 deg. to project the laser light beams repeatedly, thereby forming orthogonal grooves. Consequently, the heat-resisting moire gratings are manufactured in a short period for the many test-pieces.
