PURPOSE:To form a low-temperature floor coating material of practical use, excellent in the suitability for the application and in working environment and having excellent cure time, strength when cured, economy, etc., by reacting at least a specified liquid phenolic resin, a specified polyisocyanate, and a cure accelerator. CONSTITUTION:The title floor coating material is formed by using at least a liquid phenolic resin and a polyisocyanate, and a cure accelerator. A phenolic resin is used in which the molar ratio of formaldehyde to phenol is 0.5-1.8, formaldehyde is reacted with phenol at a pH of about 3-6 in the presence of a metal salt, and the ratio of the content of the linkages at the ortho positions to that at the para positions is 3 or higher. Examples of the metal salts include those of a divalent metal, such as zinc nitrate, zinc acetate, and zinc borate. An example of a polyisocyanate is one having at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule and an NCO content of about 20% or higher, preferably an aromatic polyisocyanate or its prepolymer.
