The invention relates to an adjusting drive for guide devices in sheet-fed printing machines which can be used selectively for face printing or perfecting. The guide devices consist of the roller carriage, the roller-carriage crossmember and the sheet guiding bars. The object of the sheet guiding bars is to guide the sheet onto print-free corridors in order to prevent smearing of the sheet printed in perfecting. The aim of the invention is to provide a guide device which can rapidly be adjusted to print-free corridors of the printed sheet using simple means. The object of the invention, to provide an adjusting drive for guide devices, with which the mutually flush sheet guiding bars can be adjusted jointly in rows on a printing machine consisting of a plurality of printing units, is achieved in that the roller carriage can selectively be assigned to the chain mechanism, and the mutually flush roller carriages are arranged so that they can be adjusted jointly in rows.
