Alimentary compsns. having the aroma of edible mushrooms comprise alimentary fats contg. 0.005-50 wt.% of 1-octen-3-ol or a mixt. of 1-octen-3-ol and one or more of 2-octen-1-ol, 1-octen-3-ol, 3-octanone and 3-octanol. Alternatively the mixt. may contain 60-95 wt.% of 1-octen-3-ol, 5-35 wt.% of 2-octen-1-ol and/or 0.2-10 wt.% of 1-octen-3-one and/or 0.2-5 wt.% of 3-octanone and/or 0.2-5 wt.% of 3-octanol. |
