The invention relates to an air-sifting device for a device for separating a mixture of husks and kernels of cocoa beans, which are situated, for example, on the screens, which are arranged in a cascade, of the device, having husk removal channels which are arranged above the screens and which merge into expansion chambers with discharging worms for the husks, and at least one low pressure chamber which is connected to an extractor and is connected to the expansion chambers via channels having blocking devices, such as regulating flaps, by means of which the speed of air in the husk removal channels can be regulated. The air pressure ratios in the husk removal channels can be kept constant at an optimum level in a simple fashion in that air-pressure sensors are arranged in the husk removal channels and/or expansion chambers and in that the locking devices are provided with adjustment devices which can be adjusted via a central control unit in dependence on the values measured by the air pressure sensors and on the pressure values which can be preset in the control unit in such a way that the said preset pressure values are made to prevail in the husk removal channels.
