PURPOSE:To attempt improvement of output and fuel consumption by movably controlling intake stroke period of an internal combustion engine, and by compensating drop of heating to the mixture generated in the compression stroke when the intake stroke period is shortened at the time of partial load of the internal combustion engine by making a cylinder head high temperature. CONSTITUTION:An intake control valve C for opening and closing an intake passage B is provided. Also, a cooling means l having the first cooling part E for cooling a cylinder block D, the second cooling part G for cooling a cylinder head F and an actuator H for adjusting the cooling ability of these cooling parts E and G is provided. On the other hand, a means J for detecting the load state of an internal combustion engine A is provided. And the first controlling means K for controlling the opening valve period of the in intake control valve C based on the load state is provided. Also, the second controlling means L for controlling the actuator H so that the cooling ability of the second cooling part G is reduced or improved according as the load state is less than the prescribed value or more than the the prescribed value based on the load state is provided. |
