PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a brake noise in an effective manner, by converging vibrations, which happen in a brake shoe at random, so as to happen in a specific position and mode and thereupon installing a device capable of damping the vibrations. CONSTITUTION:Each of radial slits 9 and 9 are installed in a web 8 installed extendedly over the inside of a brake shoe 2. With this method, the web is bent between both sides (a) and (b) whereby displacement of a torsional mode grows large and its phase is also shifted to some extent. That is to say, a vibration mode is sepcified and thereby an effective position for vibration damping is made clear. Each of bolts 10 and 10 is engaged with both these sides (a) and (b) of the tip part of these slits 9 and 9 and lightly clamped thereto. With this constitution, braking is produced between these sides (a) and (b) and proper damping is given. In this case, it is important to know that these bolts 10 and nuts 11 are pressed as far as to the extent of producing braking resistance between these sides (a) and (b). |
