Retaining device for an electrical switch

A retaining device for an electrical switch is proposed, which consists essentially of an accommodating part (which is provided with two retaining means) and of a switch housing (which is provided with two fastening elements which can be deflected in a sprung manner and each have an attachment). Such a retaining device is subject to the technical problem of designing the fastening elements of the electrical switch or of the accommodating part such that the electrical switch is held in a chamber in the accommodating part in such a manner that inadvertent movement of the electrical switch in the insertion direction or in the withdrawal direction is effectively prevented. This object is achieved in that the regions of the attachments which interact with one another and the retaining means are constructed and arranged in a manner which uses the spring force produced in each case by the deflection of the fastening elements to produce a force component which acts in the insertion direction of the switch housing and presses the associated rear wall of the switch housing against the rear wall of the chamber. <IMAGE>
