Arrangements for synchronous adjustment of the inclinations of the seat and backrest of a swivel chair or armchair, consisting of a back- and seat-inclination adjustment device which is articulated on the seat support and has a blocking device, have the disadvantage that during adjustment a change occurs in the distance from one point of the seat to one point of the back, with the result that tensile forces are exerted on the clothing of the user in the region of their back ("shirt pull-out effect"). This is to be avoided by the new arrangement. The back- and seat-inclination adjustment device (B) is mounted, when seen from the back, behind the median longitudinal axis of the standing tube (1) so as to be pivotable on a shaft (7) of the seat support (A; A') and the seat (3) is connected in its rear region to the adjustment device (B) via a link arrangement (17, 18, 19; 17'), so that the seat (3) during adjustment can perform an angular movement about its articulation point (5; 5', 21) on the seat support (A; A') and a relative movement to the back. The arrangement is suitable for swivel chairs and armchairs, in particular office swivel chairs and armchairs, with adjustability of the inclinations of seat and back. <IMAGE> |
