PURPOSE:To enable efficient repair of wiper flaws of automotive windshield, by using a cerium oxide-containing polishing liquid and polyurethane pad with a lightly adoptable polishing tool even in normal automotive maintenance factories. CONSTITUTION:Repair of wiper flaws of automotive windshield by the following process. That is (1) a polishing step of using a polishing liquid obtained by blending 3-20% cerium oxide, 0.5-10% ethylene glycol and a surfactant with water and polisher consisting of a polyurethane and having open cells and (2) a cleaning step following the polishing step. The cerium oxide is preferably fired at about 900 deg.C, since the polishing speed is the maximum. |
