[Also in Division D1] In Example 5 polyacrylonitrile is coloured by spinning a stock solution containing by weight 15 parts polyacrylonitrile, 70 parts dimethylformamide, and 15 parts of the dyestuff obtained by condensing 4-N-methyl-N-phenyl benzophenone and 1-methyl-2-phenyl indole and precipitating the dyestuff as the zinc chloride salt. A bluish green shade is obtained.</p> |
