PURPOSE:To enable the trapping and detection of trace components of an organic substance in air at a high efficiency, by introducing a substance to be measured in air into a water absorbing element carrying an enzyme, antibody or a microorganism to react after the collection thereof by electric dust collection. CONSTITUTION:An antibody, an enzyme-labelled antigen and moreover, a substrate necessary for performing an enzyme reaction, for example, a color forming agent and light emitting agent are carried on a water absorbing element 1. An air introduction tube 2 is provided to introduce material to be measured in air and a discharge electrode 3 in the introduction tube 2. Then, a voltage is applied between the discharge electrode 3 and a dust collection electrode 4 with a DC power source 5 to be measured with a light source 6 and a light receiving element 7. This enables the trapping and detecting of trace components in air at a high efficiency. |
