PURPOSE:To increase the color purity of green light and to obtain an image display having high color reproducibility and high image quality by providing a green filter of a narrow band-width within an optical path of the green light. CONSTITUTION:Condensed white light is cut of heat rays in an IR region by a heat ray cut filter 4 and only the visible light enters a dichroic mirror system for color sepn. This incident light is efficienty separated of blue light and red light having high color purity by a blue reflection dichroic mirror 5 and a red reflection dichroic mirror 6. The remaining green light of the transmitted light is passed through the green filter 8 of the narrow band width, by which the green light having the high color purity is obtd. The image display by using the blue light, red light and green light having the high color purity is thereby permitted and the color reproducibility is enhanced. The image having high image quality is thus obtd. |
