PURPOSE:To enable accurate determination of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase activity in a short time, by including an oxidizing substance, a specific coupler and a specific anilide derivative (salt) in at least one layer of an analytic element. CONSTITUTION:The objective analytic element for the determination of gamma- glutamyl transpeptidase activity has at least one reagent layer and at least one developing layer on a substrate. At least one of the above layers contains (A) a substance having oxidizing activity (e.g. potassium ferricyanide), (B) a coupler free from ballast group and (C) an anilide derivative of formula [R1 and R2 are alkyl or hydroxyalkyl provided that both groups are not alkyl at the same time; R3-R6 are H, halogen, hydroxy, amino, alkyl, alkoxy, acylamido, arylsulfonamido or alkylsulfonamido) or its salt.
