PURPOSE:To obtain a master-pattern mold being light-wt. and easily handled in a few manufacturing days and at a low cost, by forming a few main body of the master-pattern mold by cutting a raw material formed a resin foam and a like, coating the surface of the main body of the master-pattern mold with a surfacer and forming a model surface with the surface of the surfacer. CONSTITUTION:A raw material 8 is prepared by laminating blocks 14 of a hard urethane foam and reinforcing pipes 13 are therein inserted and a rough cutting is carried out by using a built-in blade 15 and the like. Cutting operation of a master-pattern mold is carried out by using a cutter 9 based on NC data obtained from a clay model. The surface of the main body 11 of the master- pattern mold is coated with a urethane foam resin as a surfacer by means of a brush coating or a spray gun and the finishing of the surface of the main body 11 of the master-pattern mold is carried out by means of wet sanding with sand paper while the shape is being measured to complete the master- pattern mold. |
