PURPOSE:To improve the welding efficiency and to simplify the titled welding equipment by arranging a setting jig capable of reciprocating between the set position of a work and a welding equipment main body and then, positioning and fixing the setting jig on the welding equipment main body via a fixing device. CONSTITUTION:A traveling body 5 is engaged with rail members 4 and a chucking unit 7 is fitted to the traveling body 5. Hooks 16 to fix the welding equipment main body 30 on a pedestal 1 are provided on rails 13 and 14 to move vertically by an action of a cylinder unit 11. First, the welding equipment main body 30 is selected according to the work and carried in on the center of the pedestal 1. After the main body 30 is positioned and fixed on the pedestal 1, the setting jig 50 is received by a chucking unit 23 and the work is set on the jig 50. Next, a different work is set on a jig 60 to perform the welding. Since the welding is performed with the works set on the jigs 50 and 60 respectively, the welding efficiency is improved and the equipment is simplified. |
