<p>PURPOSE:To mount a small cassette to a VTR for large cassette equipped with a large reel motor by using an adaptor which is a little larger than the large cassette so as to mount the small cassette without making a reel base approach to the position of the small cassette reel. CONSTITUTION:The cassette adaptor 13 having a small cassette 12 holding mechanism and a small cassette reel driving power transmitting mechanism, a cassette holder 27 to which the adaptor 13 can be mounted and a frame member 28 which fills up the gap between the large cassette are provided in an enclosure which is a little larger than the large cassette. And also detecting means 42 and 43 for detecting which of a middle cassette and the adaptor is inserted, the reel base moving mechanisms 33a-33c and 34 for moving to hold the reel base of a main body in the position of the large and middle cassette reels or the position for driving the adaptor based on the detection signal and a driving mechanism for mounting the cassette holder to the reel base units 32a and 32b are provided in it. Thus, if the frame member is detached, the cassette holder 27 becomes the same size of the adaptor 13 and the cassette adaptor 13 housing the small cassette can be mounted.</p> |
