PURPOSE:To speedily and accurately measure the weight of an object body by determining an arithmetic section according to the maximum and minimum values of measured time-series data, and averaging data in this arithmetic section and finding a weight estimate value. CONSTITUTION:A weight signal obtained by a weigher 3 is converted by an A/D converter 8 into a time-series digital signal, which is recorded in a time- series unprocessed data memory 93. A CPU 92 calculates a reference value from the maximum and minimum values in a specific section of said time-series unprocessed data. Then this reference value is compared with the time-series data to find the start point and end point of the time-series data. Data in the section between those start and end points are integrated to find the total value, which is averaged by said section to perform weight estimation operation. The weight value of the weighed body is calculated from this weight estimated value. Consequently, the weight of the object body is accurately measured before the elastic body of the measuring instrument enters a steady state.
