PURPOSE:To enhance selective permeability of a membrane by laminating one by one a siloxane compound layer, substituted acetylene polymer layer, a siloxane compound layer and a layer of organic compound having separability higher than those layers. CONSTITUTION:On a porous substrate layer of polysulfone or the like of 0.001-10mm thickness, a siloxane compound membrane such as dimethyl- methylvinylsiloxane copolymer or the like is laminated, and further a substituted acetylene polymer layer such as poly(1-trimethylsilylpropyne) or the like and/or a siloxane compound layer are laminated. Over said laminated layers, an organic compound layer such as poly(phenylchloroacetylene) or the like having separability higher than those of laminated layers is laminated, and a composite membrane is prepared. The composite membrane thus prepared is superior in O2 selective permeability.
