The invention concerns a cutter 2 which can avoid an obstacle 1 and can be used on a plough 3, the cutter 2 cooperating with a spring arrangement so that the cutter, counter to the spring action, can deflect from a normal position by an obstacle and, by means of the spring force, return to the said normal position. The cutter 2 cooperates with a control member 5, preferably comprising inter alia the said spring arrangement, so that the cutter can be given a lifting and/or deflecting movement caused by the obstacle, and where a horizontal or essentially horizontal arm extends between rotatable attachments on the plough 3 and on the cutter 2. The cutter 2 is arranged to cooperate with the plough 3 in such a way that, in the case of a small obstacle 1, the cutter 2 will lift 8 counter to a slight force, and, in the case of a large (high) obstacle, the cutter 2 will deflect in a turning movement 2b' and counter to the action of a greater force. <IMAGE>
