<p>The invention features substantially pure recombinant β-subunit of a human glycoprotein concerned with cellular adhesion, or a biologically active fraction thereof, an analog thereof, or a fragment thereof composed of at least 10% of a contiguous sequence of the β-subunit; a cDNA sequence coding therefor; and a vector containing a DNA sequence coding therefor. The invention also features monoclonal antibodies raised against the recombinant β-subunit of human LFA-1. Methods of using the glycoprotein and analogs thereof and antibodies are also disclosed as is a nucleic acid molecular hybridization assay using DNA probes.</p> |
