PURPOSE:To obtain a high reduction ratio by providing such an arrangement that a wave gear having a number of teeth different from that of a speed change gear is elastically deformed so as to be meshed with the speed change gear, and during speed reduction an arm of a pressing means is rotated to rotate the speed change gear by a degree corresponding to the difference between the numbers of teeth while the wave gear is squeezed. CONSTITUTION:A wave gear 1 having a tooth number of 64 and a speed change gear having a tooth number of 66 are arranged separated from each other, and when an arm 7 is rotated, rolls 10 as pressing means elastically deform the wave gear 1, a part of the tooth section 1a which meshes with a part of the tooth section 4a of the speed change gear 4 moves the meshed part of the latter. In this arrangement, if the elastically deformable wave gear 1 is fixed, the tooth section 1a presses the tooth section 4a while it is squeezed to a degree corresponding to the difference between the tooth numbers, and when the arm 7 is rotated, the speed change gear 4 is rotated by the difference between the tooth numbers or by two teeth. Thus, it is possible to obtain a high reduction ratio even with an one stage gear arrangement, thereby it is possible to making the reduction mechanism small and lightweight. |
