PURPOSE:To hasten a program processing speed by transferring and rewriting another program from a program storing memory to a user program memory when a special instruction is read during the processing of the user program. CONSTITUTION:For a programmable controller, a microprocessor 1, a ROM 2, a ROM 3, an I/O memory (RAM) 4, a user program memory (RAM) 5, a file memory 6, an input output device 7, a keyboard 8 and a displaying device 9 are connected to the system bus. To the user program memory 5, a user program to be processed presently is stored and to the file memory 6, plural other user programs are stored. Thus, the number of the user programs to be stored into the user program memory 5 and the executing speed can be improved.
