PURPOSE:To efficiently perform drying treatment, by adding an electrolytic chemical liquid for preventing flocculation immediately before the finish of a grinding process. CONSTITUTION:Dilution water and a proper amount of a flocculation preventing electrolyte chemical liquid (e.g., sodium sulfate) are added to a waste ion exchange resin-containing waste water to prepare a slurry of which the resin concn. is adjusted to about 10% and this slurry is supplied to a grinder 2 from a slurry storage tank 1. The waste ion exchange resin in ground, while a liquid feed pump 13 is started at the point of time when a grinding process is ready to finish; and a predetermined amount of a chemical liquid is injected in a treatment container 2b from a chemical liquid tank 11 to be added to the ground resin. By this method, the chemical liquid is mixed with the slurry in the treatment container 2b and the viscosity of the slurry rapidly lowers and the flowability thereof is restored. As a result, the slurry can be smoothly sent out to a drying process.
