PURPOSE:To enhance the high convenience in the moldification of a copy, by reading text data and copy modification data from a page buffer by one character unit to perform the processing of the output of a control code and that of a character code. CONSTITUTION:When the printing of text data (a) is started, a character size is read in a page buffer 101 and judged to be a control code by a control code discrimination means 103A to be stored in a character size memory 105. When a character pitch is read, side pitch is judged to be a control code to be stored in a character pitch memory 106. When a character code is read, said code is judged to be a character code and a copy modification data reading means 108D judges that there is no copy modification, and the next character size, pitch and code are inputted to an output buffer 110 to print a character. When it is judged that there is a copy modification, a character is selected by the reading means 108d and printed, and the output address of the next character is renewed. By repeating this operation, the objective character of copy modification reflects the character pitch of the text data and a character out of the object can be printed on the basis of the attribute of the text data. |
