<p>An amphotericin B composition containing particles of amphotericin B and cholesterol sulfate, in a molar ratio of between about 1:1 to 1:4. The particles, when stored in lyophilized form and reconstituted in an aqueous suspension, have particle sizes predominantly between about 100-400 nm. The composition shows significantly reduced toxicity, without loss of anti-fungal efficacy, compared with known AMB formulations.</p> |
