PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion of a piping to be protected over a long period of time by an extremely simple method and to protect effectively the piping by interposing an anode metal having a sacrificial anode effect between the pipe to be protected in a supporting part for the piping and a supporting stand for said piping. CONSTITUTION:A pipe to be protected (steel pipe 1) 1 is connected via, for example, a zinc piece 2 as an anode metal to a supporting stand 3 and the entire part is fixed by a U-bolt. Even if the pipe 1 is placed in a corrosive environment by wear, moisture, etc., the piece 2 corrodes preferentially and forms the corrosion product. The corrosion product sticks on the surface of the pipe to be protected and provides the corrosion preventive effect and therefore the pipe 1 is protected effectively against corrosion over a long period of time even under corrosive conditions. This method for preventing corrosion is applicable not only in the stage of installing a fresh piping but also to the installed piping. |
