PURPOSE:To cool a disc brake effectively, to lengthen dismantling period for maintenance and to save manpower for maintenance, by arranging cooling fins in the central portion which fits with the rotary shaft of the disc brake. CONSTITUTION:When brake operation is carried out, frictional heat is produced in a disc brake 9 and discharged to the atmosphere by means of cooling fins 14, 15. When a motor is rotating, the cooling fins 14, 15 rotate together with the disc brake 9 to produce cooling wind just like a cooling fan, so as to supply cool air to the rotary shaft 6 or the brake disc 9 thus cooling them. Consequently, heat can be removed effectively from the brake disc 9 and transmitted along the rotary shaft 6 to a bearing section 12, so as to prevent deterioration of grease in short time. As a result, dismantling period for maintenance is lengthened and manpower for maintenance can be reduced.
