A manifolding unit particularly suitable for use as a doctor's prescription pad wherein contacting faces of adjacent sheets are provided with suitable chemical coatings which react when pressure is applied to the top sheet to provide one or more copies on the underlying sheets, is characterized in that matter inscribed on the top sheet is reproduced illegibly in preselected areas of the copy sheet(s). The manifolding unit comprises a top sheet 4 and copy sheets 6 and 8. The sheets are secured together at one edge by adhesive. The adjacent surfaces 10, 12, and 14, 16, of the sheets 4, 6 and 8, are coated with the usual pressure sensitive chemical compounds. Selected areas of the copy sheets are pre-printed with a multiplicity of closely compacted markings 12a, 16b, whereby writing reproduced in these areas is illegible. A plurality of such units may be assembled into a pad. The bottom copy sheet 8 of each unit is provided with an extension 8a to facilitate detachment of the unit from the pad, and is thicker than the remaining sheets in the unit. |
