PURPOSE:To obtain a tacky adhesive tape locally releasable while longitudinally tearing the tape and suitable for the protection of especially building materials, mechanical parts, etc., by applying a tacky adhesive to a surface of a tape made of a material easily tearable along longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of parallelly arranged V-shaped continuous notches 6 are formed at regular intervals on a surface of a synthetic resin film 3 having a thickness of about 0.1-1mm and made of PE, PP, PVC resin, etc., and a tacky adhesive 4 is applied to the other surface of the film to obtain the objective tacky adhesive tape. The notch 6 may be a discontinuous one such as dotted line or an elongated hole or slit bored through the tape material 3.
