PURPOSE:To reduce an overhang degree from an engine center, by arranging a starting coil, a power generating coil, and a commutating mechanism in the diameter direction of a rotary shaft, and by setting the commutating mechanism along the inner periphery of each coil in this case. CONSTITUTION:In the diameter direction of a rotary shaft 1, a starting coil 11, a power generating coil 12, and a commutating mechanism are arranged. Of the starting coil 11 and the power generating coil 12, a stator is composed, and on the outer periphery of the stator, the field magnet 6 of a rotor is rotated. The commutating mechanism is provided with a conductive route 13 for feeding current to the starting coil 11 of the stator, and a brush 20 coming in contact with the conductive route 13, and is set along the inner periphery of the stator.
