PURPOSE:To manufacture an amorphous solar cell abounding in fashion properties and decorative properties by forming a light-transmitting insulator pattern-shaped to arbitrary character, symbol, figure, etc., between a light-transmitting insulating substrate and an amorphous semiconductor layer (a Si layer). CONSTITUTION:A photosensor consisting of the laminate of a first electrode layer 7, an a-Si layer 9 and a second electrode layer 10 is connected electrically in series with an adjacent photosensor by the bonding of an extension section 11 from the second electrode layer 10 and an extension section 12 from the adjacent first electrode layer 7. When beams are projected to the amorphous solar cell, incident light energy is converted into electric energy in the a-Si layer 9, and extracted to the outside by output terminals 13, 14. When the a-Si solar cell is viewed from the light-receiving surface side, the difference of colors due to the difference of the spectral reflectance of incident beams is generated in a section where there is a light-transmitting insulator 8 and a section where there is no light-transmitting insulator 8 because the refractive index of the light-transmitting insulator 8 pattern-shaped to arbitrary character, symbol, figure, etc., differs from those of the a-Si layer 9 and a transparent conductive film. A character pattern formed by the light transmitting insulator 8 is drawn. |
