<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording liquid for ink jet recording, composed of a recording agent consisting of a specific compound and a liquid medium to dissolve or disperse said recording agent, having excellent recording performance, ejection stability and ejection response and giving a recorded image having excellent resistances to water, light and weather. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording liquid for ink jet recording is composed of (A) a recording agent consisting of a compound of formula I (naphthyl group has OH or SO3<-> introduced therein; phi is phenyl which may be substituted with alkyl, etc.) or formula II (phi is phenyl group substituted with hydroxyl group, etc.) (e.g. the compound of formula III) and (B) a liquid medium for dissolving or dispersing said recording agent (preferably water or a mixture of water and an organic solvent such as methyl alcohol). The amount of the component A is preferably 1-8wt.% of the whole recording liquid.</p> |
