PURPOSE:To enable a device to be positioned with high precision without being influenced by torque nonuniformity and lost motion, by fixing an external rotor in the internal section of a cylindrical rotor hub, and by supporting the rotor hub with cantilever construction via the clamp ring of light alloy. CONSTITUTION:An external rotor 2 is rotatably supported by a bearing 5 set in a cylindrical internal section, via a cylindrical rotor hub 3, and is directly driven and rotated with magnetic induction generated on an internal stator 1. The bearing 5 is fixed by a clamp ring 61 between the rotor hub 3 and a housing 6. Both the rotor hub 3 and the clamp ring 61 are composed of light alloy members.
